Description

After the cpanel-unbound package updated to 11.126.0, my server throws: version `OPENSSL_3.4.0' not found (required by /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/lib64/libunbound.so.8) It's also causing the cPanel license to show as expired. cPanel has documented the cause and fix here — please read it before applying: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/42546126748439-OpenSSL-errors-after-update-to-cpanel-unbound-11-126-0 What I need: Diagnose and apply the fix (bring the OS/OpenSSL to a supported version per the article) Re-register the cPanel license if it's still flagged afterward Verify unbound, cPanel services, sites, email, and DNS all come back clean A short note on what you changed What you get: Root SSH and WHM access, shared via Upwork messages once hired. Requirements: Proven cPanel/WHM experience, comfortable with dnf/apt and recovering a server if an update goes wrong, takes a backup before making changes, available to start within 24 hours. In your proposal, please answer: Have you handled this specific issue before? What's the first thing you'd check after logging in? What's your plan if the server doesn't come back up cleanly? Proposals that don't answer these will be skipped. Please quote the fixed $20.
