We're an Australian ecommerce business selling through WooCommerce, with hosting via BigScoots and Cloudflare for DNS/CDN. It's a well-established, straightforward store — not flashy or custom-built — and we need someone reliable to take ownership of its ongoing care: updates, maintenance, small fixes, and basic technical upkeep, so nothing slips through the cracks. This is a hands-on, dedicated role — we've had this work spread thin across other people's plates in the past, and we're looking for someone who will genuinely own it, keep a proper maintenance schedule, and document what they do as they go, so the site's setup and processes are recorded properly rather than living in someone's head. Scope of work: Regular WordPress/WooCommerce plugin, theme, and core updates on a set schedule (not ad hoc) Product, category, and content management as needed Basic Cloudflare administration — DNS records, cache purging, simple firewall/security rules Coordinating with our hosting provider (BigScoots) for deployments, backups, and staging vs. live environment management Monitoring and quickly resolving small issues (broken links, plugin conflicts, checkout hiccups) before they become bigger problems Ensuring dev/staging work is never accidentally exposed to live traffic or linked from live marketing campaigns Documenting processes, configurations, and recurring maintenance tasks into clear SOPs as you go — this is a required, ongoing part of the role, not a one-off task Working along
