Description
Summary ILRI is a global non-profit research institute working across Africa and Asia. We want AI to give talented teams back time — through better drafting and reporting, knowledge retrieval, project management, and practical workflows across Microsoft 365. Budget and timeframe. Up to USD 100,000 through 31 December 2026; indicatively around 15–30 hours per week once underway, with the possibility of extension into 2027. The adoption is the job. We are not looking for someone to build clever tools that nobody uses. We want a partner who can co-design useful AI-enabled ways of working, get people genuinely using them, and leave the capability with our teams. You should combine strong practical AI craft — agentic workflows, prompt and skill design, connectors and light automation — with the human side: instructional design, knowledge management, change management, and capacity development. Experience with distributed research, development or international organizations is especially relevant. This is a substantial, task-based engagement. We are interested in individuals or small teams with named backup arrangements. We care much more about evidence than proposal polish. Show us briefly what you have actually delivered — especially something people kept using. Full Terms of Reference attached. Separate opportunity: if your strength is deep Python, Azure and Microsoft Graph engineering and production AI architecture, see our Corporate AI Architecture posting instead.
