Description
Summary Simple API-Based E-commerce Order Dashboard We are looking for a developer to build a simple web-based dashboard for our e-commerce business, Partyhallen. The dashboard will be displayed on a large screen in our warehouse and should show how our current order volume compares with the previous year. Main Requirements The dashboard should display: Number of orders today. Number of orders during the comparable day last year. Percentage and numerical difference compared with last year. Orders this week compared with the equivalent week last year. Orders this month compared with the equivalent period last year. A simple chart showing orders during the day or week. A message such as: “25 more orders than last year” or “12 orders left to beat last year.” The time when the data was last updated. The data is available through an API. We will provide the API documentation and access credentials to the selected developer. Design The dashboard should be: Simple, clean, and easy to understand. Designed for a large 16:9 warehouse screen. Automatically refreshed without manual action. Easy to open in fullscreen mode in a web browser. Branded with our logo and basic company colours. We do not need a complicated business intelligence system, advanced forecasting, customer information, or many different pages. The main purpose is to motivate our warehouse team by showing whether we are growing compared with last year. Technical Requirements The API connection must be handled securely. API credentials must not be visible in the browser. The dashboard should not display customer names, addresses, or other personal information. The developer may choose the technology, but the final solution should be easy to maintain and host. All source code must be delivered to us when the project is completed. The solution should include basic instructions for installation, hosting, and future maintenance. Deliverables Working API connection. Web-based dashboard with current-year and previous-year comparisons. Daily, weekly, and monthly views. Simple chart and comparison messages. Fullscreen-friendly warehouse display. Deployment of the dashboard to a hosting account owned by us. Complete source code and basic documentation. Bug fixes for issues discovered during final testing.
