Description
Summary We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with hands-on experience integrating Apex and BitGo platforms, along with a solid understanding of payment and settlement processing. The role focuses on building reliable, secure integrations with financial and digital asset infrastructure. Key Technical Responsibilities • Design, implement, and maintain integrations with Apex APIs (including trading, custody, account management, and related financial services endpoints). • Build and support BitGo integrations covering wallet management, multi-signature operations, transfers, custody workflows, and transaction monitoring. • Develop secure, production-grade payment and settlement flows, including status tracking, reconciliation, error handling, retries, and idempotency. • Handle webhook processing, event-driven updates, and real-time or near-real-time transaction state management. • Implement robust authentication, authorization, API key/secret management, and secure communication patterns with third-party financial platforms. • Collaborate on data models and services related to asset transfers, balances, transaction histories, and settlement records. • Ensure high reliability, observability (logging, metrics, alerting), and compliance-aware design in financial transaction pipelines. • Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to technical documentation for integrations and operational runbooks. Required Qualifications • Proven professional experience integrating with Apex (Apex Fintech Solutions / Apex Crypto or equivalent brokerage/crypto platform APIs). • Hands-on experience with BitGo APIs and services (wallets, custody, transfers, multi-sig, or institutional crypto infrastructure). • Strong understanding of payment processing concepts: settlement flows, transaction lifecycles, reconciliation, failure modes, and state management. • Solid backend engineering skills (preferably TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or similar) with experience building production API integrations. • Experience working with financial or regulated systems, including secure handling of sensitive data and external API rate limits/error handling. • Familiarity with webhook architectures, asynchronous processing, and event-driven systems. • Strong attention to correctness, security, and auditability in transaction-related code. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with both traditional payment rails (ACH, wires, etc.) and digital asset transfer mechanics. • Knowledge of crypto custody patterns, multi-signature wallets, and institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure. • Prior work involving brokerage, clearing, or fintech platform integrations. • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), CI/CD, and monitoring tools in production environments. • Understanding of relevant compliance and operational considerations when interfacing with financial platforms (at a technical implementation level). Additional Notes • Ability to work independently on complex integration workstreams. • Comfortable reading API documentation, debugging third-party platform behavior, and designing resilient systems around external dependencies.
