Description
Resolve bug with AWS Redshift, ODBC and SQL Server - Freelance Job in Data Mining & Management - $750.00 Fixed Price, posted August 17, 2026 - Upwork Resolve bug with AWS Redshift, ODBC and SQL Server Posted 1 hour ago Worldwide Summary AWS is deprecating their Redshift 1.x ODBC drivers and forcing an upgrade to the 2.x drivers. We currently run queries in MS Sql Server that leverage openquery to return the data and then insert that data into our SQL tables. This has worked fine for years under the 1.x drivers but in the 2.x drivers, it claims that we're receiving ntext values and not nvarchar values. Even when we try to do a conversion, we are receiving an error that the number 0 (an explicit value we try to insert) is ntext, as an example. We have spent too much time on this seemingly small issue with no luck. Every time we think we've found a solution, a new error pops up. We have not gone the support route with AWS because they will just kick back programming issues and not help you. Due to contractual commitments, you must be a US or EU citizen. We can not consider people from other regions. Please include the term ODBC 2.2 in your proposal so that I know you've read this. $750.00 Fixed-price Expert Experience Level Remote Job One-time project Project Type Skills and Expertise Mandatory skills Microsoft SQL Server Amazon Redshift + 1 more Activity on this job Proposals: 5 to 10 Interviewing: 0 Invites sent: 0 Unanswered invites: 0 About the client Member since Aug 2, 2012 United States Atlanta7:45 AM $661K total spent 100 hires, 8 active 11,050 hours
