Summary Senior E-Commerce Marketplace Development Team Needed – YallahCart.com We are building YallahCart.com, a new professional e-commerce shopping platform, and we are looking for an experienced senior development team for a long-term relationship. This is NOT a Shopify project. We want a custom-built, modern, secure, fast and scalable e-commerce platform. We are looking for a team that can handle the project from UI/UX design through development, testing and launch, and then continue with us on a monthly basis for ongoing development and support. PROJECT SCOPE The current phase is to build the complete customer shopping website and its backend/admin system. The platform should be designed with a clean, scalable and API-first architecture so that we can expand the platform in the future. 1. UI/UX & FIGMA DESIGN Before development, we need a professional e-commerce UI/UX design in Figma. Design should include: - Homepage - Header/navigation - Mega menu/categories - Product listing pages - Category pages - Brand pages - Product detail pages - Search - Filters & sorting - Cart - Checkout - Login/register - Customer account - Wishlist - Order tracking - Order history - Offers/deals - Returns/refunds - Responsive mobile design - Tablet design - Desktop design We want a modern, clean and conversion-focused UX inspired by platforms such as: - Temu - Noon - Distacart - OurShopee These are design/UX references only. We want a completely original YallaCart design. 2. LOGO & BRAND IDENTITY We also need professional branding for YallaCart: - Logo - Logo variations - Brand icon - Color palette - Typography - Favicon - App icon - Light/dark versions - Basic brand guidelines The designer should professionally recommend the color combination, typography and overall visual direction. 3. FRONTEND DEVELOPMENT The approved Figma design needs to be converted into a high-quality responsive website. Preferred: Next.js Requirements: - Fast loading - Mobile-first - Responsive - SEO-friendly - Clean code - Excellent Core Web Vitals - Modern animations where appropriate - Accessible UI - Proper error/loading states 4. BACKEND DEVELOPMENT We need a proper custom e-commerce backend. Preferred: Node.js + Medusa.js We are open to a better technical architecture if the team can justify it. Backend should handle: - Products - Categories - Brands - Product variants - Inventory - Customers - Orders - Payments - Shipping - Coupons - Reviews - Returns - Refunds - Customer accounts - Notifications - Admin controls 5. DATABASE Preferred: PostgreSQL Database architecture should be properly designed for scalability and performance. Developer must provide: - Proper database structure - Relationships - Indexing - Migrations - Backup strategy - Recovery strategy 6. ADMIN DASHBOARD A complete admin panel is required. Products: - Add/edit/delete products - Bulk product upload - CSV import/export - Product images - Product variants - SKU - GTIN/barcode - MPN - Brand - Category - Pricing - Inventory Orders: - View orders - Update order status - Process refunds - Manage returns - Print invoices - Shipping information Customers: - Customer accounts - Customer orders - Customer information - Account management Marketing: - Coupons - Discounts - Promotions - Featured products Reports: - Sales - Orders - Customers - Products - Inventory - Revenue 7. PRODUCT UPLOAD SYSTEM This is important. We may have hundreds or thousands of products, so the system should support: Manual product creation + Bulk CSV upload CSV should support fields such as: - Product name - Brand - Category - SKU - GTIN - MPN - Description - Price - Stock - Images - Variants - SEO information The system should also be structured so future supplier/API integrations can be added. 8. SEARCH & FILTERS We need a professional e-commerce search experience. Including: - Search - Autocomplete - Product suggestions - Categories - Brands - Price filters - Attributes - Sorting - Availability - Relevant results The architecture should allow a more advanced search engine to be added later if required. 9. CART & CHECKOUT Complete checkout system: - Guest checkout - Customer checkout - Address management - Shipping selection - Coupon code - Order summary - VAT/tax calculation - Payment - Order confirmation - Email confirmation 10. PAYMENTS Integration with suitable UAE payment gateways. The development team should advise us on the best gateway based on our business requirements. Payment system must be: - Secure - PCI-conscious - Properly integrated - Webhook-based where applicable - Properly handling successful/failed/pending payments - Refund capable Also support: Cash on Delivery (COD) 11. SHIPPING & DELIVERY Shipping integration should support: - UAE delivery - Shipping rates - Delivery methods - Order status - Tracking number - Shipment tracking - Delivery notifications We want the architecture to allow additional shipping providers later. 12. CUSTOMER ACCOUNT Customers should be able to: - Register/login - Manage profile - Manage addresses - View orders - Track orders - Cancel where applicable - Request returns - View refunds - Manage wishlist - Manage reviews 13. REVIEWS & RATINGS - Product ratings - Customer reviews - Review moderation - Verified purchase option - Admin approval/moderation 14. SEO The website must be technically SEO-friendly. Including: - SEO-friendly URLs - Meta titles - Meta descriptions - Canonical URLs - Structured data/schema - Product schema - Breadcrumb schema - Sitemap - Robots.txt - Proper indexing controls - Image optimization 15. GOOGLE INTEGRATION Very important for us. Need proper integration/setup for: - Google Analytics 4 - Google Search Console - Google Tag Manager - Google Merchant Center - Google Ads conversion tracking Product data should be structured correctly for Google Merchant Center. The team should understand: - Product feed - Product identifiers - Price/availability consistency - GTIN/MPN/brand - Conversion tracking - E-commerce events 16. META INTEGRATION We also need: - Meta Pixel - Conversion API - Purchase tracking - Add-to-cart - View content - Checkout events 17. CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE Preferred: - Vercel – Frontend - Cloudflare – DNS/CDN/security - Cloudflare R2 or AWS S3 – Product images/storage - PostgreSQL – Database - GitHub – Source code We are open to better infrastructure recommendations from an experienced DevOps team. 18. SECURITY Security is extremely important. The team should implement: - SSL/HTTPS - Secure authentication - Password hashing - Role-based access - Admin permissions - API security - Rate limiting - Input validation - Protection against common web attacks - Secure payment integration - Secure environment variables - Secret management - Database security - Regular backups - Monitoring/logging 19. GITHUB & OWNERSHIP This is mandatory. All source code must be stored in our GitHub organization/repository. All important accounts must remain under the client's ownership: - Domain - GitHub - Cloudflare - Vercel - Database - Hosting - Payment gateway - Google accounts Developers will receive the access they need, but they will NOT own the production accounts. We must be able to change developers in the future without losing access to our website or code. 20. TESTING & QA Before launch, the team must thoroughly test: - Desktop - Mobile - Tablet - Chrome - Safari - Edge - Firefox - Registration - Login - Products - Search - Cart - Checkout - Payments - COD - Orders - Refunds - Emails - Admin dashboard - Product import - Google tracking We expect proper QA before production launch. 21. DEPLOYMENT & LAUNCH The team should handle: - Production setup - Domain connection - SSL - DNS - Hosting - Database - Environment configuration - Deployment - Backups - Monitoring - Final testing - Production launch We expect the team to provide proper documentation after launch. 22. LONG-TERM MONTHLY SUPPORT This is NOT a one-time project. After launch, we want to continue with the same team on a monthly basis. Ongoing work may include: - Bug fixing - Security updates - Performance optimization - New features - UI improvements - API integrations - Google/Meta integrations - Database optimization - Technical support - Maintenance We need good availability, fast communication and reliable support. TECHNOLOGY STACK Preferred: - Next.js - Node.js - Medusa.js - PostgreSQL - Cloudflare R2 / AWS S3 - Vercel - Cloudflare - GitHub - Figma We are open to alternative technologies if you can demonstrate that they are technically better for this project.
