We run a hosted search service (REST API, fully built and documented by our in-house team). We need an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce developer to build a thin plugin that connects WooCommerce stores to our API. All heavy logic lives on our servers — the plugin only syncs data and renders results. *What you'll build* - A standard WordPress plugin (PHP, no core edits) with its own search results page and a settings screen under WooCommerce - Catalog sync: full product export to our API + automatic updates on product save/delete (WooCommerce hooks) + a reliable background queue (Action Scheduler) - Storefront JS (vanilla, lightweight - no jQuery) that attaches to the theme's existing search box and renders API results + autocomplete - Graceful fallback: if our API is unreachable, the store's native search keeps working - Basic theming so the widget fits any theme (scoped CSS, inherits theme fonts/colors); must play well with popular cache plugins - Clean uninstall (no leftover data) and compatibility declarations (HPOS, "WC tested up to") - Submit the plugin to wordpress.org and the WooCommerce Marketplace, and handle the review process through approval *Must have* - Proven WordPress plugin development (please link plugins you've built, wordpress.org listings a strong plus) - Solid PHP, WooCommerce hooks/CRUD, WP REST API, and vanilla JS - Experience integrating third-party REST APIs - Familiarity with wordpress.org plugin guidelines / review process (or WooCommerce Marketpl
