Looking for someone with real, hands-on expertise in VAPI (not just familiarity) and experience integrating voice AI tools with CRM or field service platforms like Workiz. - Scope of work: Design and build the VAPI-based voice AI workflow per our requirements (details shared after NDA) Integrate with Workiz (API/webhooks, data sync, call handling logic) Support structured testing and QA before rollout Document the process as you build it, this is part of the deliverable, not an afterthought - What we need from your proposal: Your direct experience with VAPI specifically (not general voice AI or IVR experience) Any prior Workiz integration work, or comparable CRM/field service integrations Are you willing to document your process and decisions as you go (architecture, config choices, known limitations)? This is required for the role, not optional Your rate, hourly or project-based, and how you'd structure it given the phases below - Project structure and payment: This project runs in milestones tied to build, QA, and rollout. Full project payment is released upon successful QA and go-live, per milestone terms set in the contract. All payments go through Upwork per standard Upwork terms, no exceptions. - IP and confidentiality: All code, architecture, and deliverables built under this contract are work-for-hire. Full rights transfer to the client company upon payment. This project requires signing an NDA before receiving technical specifics, and before any implementation work begins. - Ideal candidate: Has shipped at least one live VAPI implementation, not just a prototype or demo Comfortable working from a spec and asking clarifying questions rather than guessing Can explain technical decisions in plain language, since documentation is part of the job
