Description

We are looking for an experienced developer to integrate Meta WhatsApp Cloud API with an existing FastAPI-based application. This is a backend integration task only. We do not need chatbot development, AI/LLM integration, Twilio, CRM automation, or business logic development. Scope of Work: Set up and configure Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. Configure WhatsApp webhook verification and message handling. Build a lightweight integration layer between WhatsApp and a FastAPI backend. Receive incoming WhatsApp messages through webhook. Forward messages to a REST API endpoint. Receive JSON responses and send replies back through WhatsApp. Create a dummy API endpoint for testing. Provide clear documentation for deployment and future connection to the main application. Technical Requirements: Strong experience with Meta WhatsApp Cloud API. Experience building webhooks and REST API integrations. Python/FastAPI experience preferred. Understanding of authentication tokens, API permissions, and webhook security. Ability to work independently with minimal access to existing systems. Important: No access to proprietary application logic will be provided. The integration will be developed against a dummy API endpoint. No AI chatbot, OpenAI, LangChain, or automation workflow is required. Expected Deliverables: Working WhatsApp Cloud API integration.
