Description
Summary We are looking for a Back-End Developer to design, develop, and maintain reliable server-side systems that support our business applications, automate operational processes, and facilitate secure communication between internal and external platforms. In this role, you will create and manage server-side applications and services that deliver the functionality, business logic, and data-processing capabilities needed for our digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include developing RESTful APIs, backend services, database interactions, authentication integrations, data-processing components, scheduled jobs, and application services that enable reliable communication between frontend applications and other systems. You will translate functional requirements into efficient backend implementations while taking into account performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and reliability. Specific tasks will include designing API endpoints, implementing business rules, validating incoming data, managing application state, handling errors, optimizing database queries, and developing reusable backend components. You will work with both relational and NoSQL databases to create suitable data structures, improve query performance, maintain data integrity, and support applications that handle increasing volumes of organizational information. Additionally, you will contribute to backend architecture decisions regarding service boundaries, API design, database structures, caching, asynchronous processing, background jobs, integration patterns, and cloud-based deployment strategies. The skills required for this position are outlined below: - Experience in developing backend applications or server-side services. - Strong knowledge of at least one backend programming language, such as Python, Node.js/JavaScript, Java, C#, Go, or PHP. - Experience in creating and using RESTful APIs. - Understanding of relational databases and SQL. - Familiarity with backend application architecture and software development principles. - Knowledge of authentication, authorization, data validation, and secure coding practices. - Experience with Git or another version control system. - Ability to troubleshoot backend issues and identify their root causes. - Understanding of testing practices for backend applications. - Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
