Summary ## Backend Developer Needed — Fintech Website / Waitlist & Rewards System We’re looking for an experienced **backend developer** to build a relatively simple backend for a fintech website. The frontend/website is already being developed. We need the backend to handle **waitlist signups, automated emails, referrals, user profiles, and a coin/rewards system**. This is **not the backend for the actual fintech/money-movement product**. This project is specifically for our **pre-launch website and waitlist system**. ### What Needs to Be Built **1. Email Signup / Reserve Your Spot — 2–3 hours** Users enter their email address on the website to reserve their spot for launch. Developer will: * Connect the existing frontend signup form to the backend. * Validate the email address. * Prevent duplicate registrations. * Create the user record. * Record signup date/time. * Assign the user's initial signup coins. **2. Waitlist Database + Admin Access — 2–4 hours** Every signup should automatically be stored in a database that we can access. We need to see basic information such as: * Email * Name * Phone number * Signup date * Coins earned * Referral code/link * Number of successful referrals A simple admin dashboard is preferred, or the developer can recommend an easy database/admin solution. **3. Automatic Welcome Email — 2–3 hours** Immediately after signup, the system sends a branded Stush email thanking the user for reserving their spot. We will provide the email design/copy. The email should contain a **secure personalized link** that takes that specific user to their rewards dashboard. **4. Coin / Rewards System — 4–6 hours** Users earn coins for completing specific actions. For example: **Sign up → Coins** **Add name → Coins** **Add phone number → Coins** **Refer a friend → Coins** The backend must track each action and automatically update the user's coin balance. Coins should only be awarded **once per qualifying action**, except referrals, which can continue accumulating. **5. Personal Rewards Dashboard — 4–6 hours** When users click the link in their email, they should be taken to a simple dashboard showing: **Your Coins** **Coins Earned** **Ways to Earn More** **Your Referral Link** **Friends Referred** The frontend/dashboard design will be provided. We need the developer to connect it to the backend so each user sees their own information. **6. Referral Tracking — 4–6 hours** Each user receives a unique referral link/code. Example: `stushpay.com/join?ref=ABC123` When a friend signs up through that link: **New user → added to waitlist** **Referral → recorded** **Original user → automatically receives coins** The system must prevent obvious duplicate/self-referrals. **7. Automated Follow-Up Email — 2–4 hours** If the user receives the welcome email but **does not click their dashboard link within a specified period**, the system automatically sends a second reminder email. We should be able to adjust the delay later (for example, 24 or 48 hours). The system therefore needs to track whether the personalized link was clicked and trigger the follow-up email only when appropriate. ### Expected User Flow **Enter Email → Reserve Spot → User Created → Coins Awarded → Welcome Email → Personalized Dashboard → Complete Profile → Earn More Coins → Invite Friends → Earn Referral Coins** If the user doesn't visit the dashboard: **Welcome Email → No Click → Wait → Automatic Reminder Email** ### Estimated Development Time For an experienced backend developer, we estimate approximately **20–30 hours** for the complete system, depending on the technology selected, testing, admin interface, and integration with our existing frontend.
