I have a learning website which was built using PHP which includes two versions V1 and V2 (different UI), they are bridged and share the tool 90%. The issue is that it has a built-in speech recognition tool to help non-English speakers use the recording button on the website to test and grade their English pronunciation. The problem is that it works intermittently and it has a few different of bugs on V1 and V2 The tool works the following way: 1. The tool works in 3 sections of the websites, in sentences where the tool is enabled, where users can click on the recording button. 2. After they click on the button, they can record the sentence or word and then receive a grade. The system shows which words were pronounced correctly, which ones were pronounced incorrectly, and it gives them a general grade, plus a percentage animation. THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS TO FIX: 1. On both versions V1 and V2, the speech recognition usually works well on Windows, but it fails on iPads, iPhones, and sometimes on Android. Another developer said that "all browsers on iPhone and iPad use Apple's WebKit engine, and apparently there's a bug in the browser's speech recognition implementation that makes it work once and then stop working". That's the main problem: the tool works the first time on iPads and iPhones, but after the first time, it doesn't work, and when it does, it displays a wrong color sometimes.
