Description

Summary I am looking for a developer to build a clean, lightweight script that extracts historical user data via the Fitbit Web API and uploads the raw JSON output directly into an Azure Blob Storage container. I already have a microsoft azure platform and I am registered on the fitbit developer platform. I want to make it as easy as possible for the fitbit user to share their data with the platform. The script also needs to be easy for me to execute (or easy to run on my behalf safely). What You’ll Be Doing: OAuth 2.0 Auth Flow: Guide the setup/execution of the authorization flow to capture the necessary access/refresh tokens. Data Extraction: Write a script to loop through historical dates for key data types (Activity, Heart Rate intraday, Sleep, Weight, Profile). Rate-Limit & Token Management: Build built-in handling for Fitbit API limits (150 calls/hour) and token refresh logic (tokens expire in 8 hours). Azure Pipeline: Stream or save the resulting daily JSON payloads into my Azure Blob Storage container. Handoff: Provide a simple README.md explaining how to plug in my API keys/Azure credentials and run the process. Preferred Skills: Strong Python background (using standard Azure Storage SDKs & requests). Experience with Fitbit Web API (or similar OAuth 2.0 / REST health APIs). Experience with Microsoft Azure Storage / Containers.
