Summary Magento 2 Developer Needed – Payments, Freight Rating, Checkout Fixes & Frontend Repairs OneWay-Solutions.com relaunched December 2024 and has several lingering issues. We would also consider moving to Shopify. We are looking for an experienced Magento 2 developer who can diagnose, repair, and improve core ecommerce functionality. The right developer will solve these problems for a fixed project cost. If we are satisfied with your work, we may choose to hire you for future projects outside the scope of this initial project. PRIORITY PROBLEMS (MUST BE FIXED) 1. ONLINE PAYMENTS NOT WORKING Our Magento 2 store is currently unable to properly accept online payments. Primary requirements: • Integrate payment processing directly with Intuit QuickBooks Merchant Services / QuickBooks Payments • Ensure stable checkout payment collection fully integrated with our QuickBooks Online backend • Resolve checkout/payment configuration conflicts • Fully test payment flow in production Additional payment methods we would like implemented (currently not working): • Amazon Pay • PayPal • Other modern payment methods recommended by the developer Payment processing must be stable, secure, and production-ready. 2. ONLINE FREIGHT RATING TOOL NOT WORKING We use Eniture Technology’s “LTL Freight Quotes – Worldwide Express Edition for Magento 2.x” extension. One Way Solutions has an active paid license/subscription for this software. The extension is installed, licensed, and should be fully functional, but it is currently not returning live freight quotes during checkout. Current issues include: • Shipping rates are not being generated or displayed properly • Checkout cannot reliably calculate freight charges • The extension appears configured but is not functioning as expected We need a developer who can: • Diagnose why the Eniture extension is failing • Review Magento configuration and extension settings • Verify API connectivity/authentication with Worldwide Express • Resolve conflicts with Magento modules, themes, or checkout customizations • Confirm proper live freight quote generation during checkout • Fully test the quote-to-checkout shipping workflow This is a live production requirement and must be repaired, tested, and verified working correctly. IMPORTANT: Please confirm prior experience specifically working with Eniture Technology freight extensions for Magento 2, especially LTL Freight Quotes – Worldwide Express Edition. 3. BACKEND SHIPPING METHOD NEEDED (ADMIN ORDER ENTRY) We need a custom admin-only shipping method that: • Only appears in Magento backend • Allows staff to manually assign or override shipping charges for any order created or edited through Magento admin • Is hidden from public storefront checkout OTHER KNOWN PROBLEMS SHOPPING CART UI / STYLING ISSUES Examples: • Viewing cart from top navigation looks broken • Payment methods appear where they should not, causing customer confusion • Cart layout cleanup and conversion optimization needed PRODUCT PAGE STYLING PROBLEMS Examples: • Quantity selector (+ / -) styling is broken • Quantity controls wrap incorrectly onto the next line • General responsive styling cleanup needed QUOTE / RFQ SUBMISSION PROBLEMS Quote request forms currently post to our homegrown “Sugarless” Lead Manager in Zapier Tables, but data capture is inconsistent. Issues include: • Missing metrics depending on submission timing/path • Incomplete field capture (quantity field missing in some Sugarless records) • Workflow reliability problems We need full testing and correction. COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS Developer must: • Speak clear professional English • Be comfortable on live video calls / screen sharing • Have a quiet workspace (no background noise) • Be responsive during troubleshooting • Clearly explain what is broken, why it is broken, and what is being done to fix it • Provide and use project management software such as Trello for issue tracking and review UPWORK COMMUNICATION POLICY Providers contacting us outside of Upwork will not be considered and will be immediately disqualified from current and future consideration.
