Summary ABOUT EMPRISE TECHNOLOGIES Emprise Technologies is an Ohio-based (Toledo) IT consulting firm operating since 1999. We specialize in automation, custom APIs, and software development for banks, collection agencies, and credit unions, with deep expertise in core collection systems including FACS, Artiva RM, and Debt Manager. Our clients range from Fortune 500 institutions to small operations, and our work centers on data integration, business process automation, and system conversions. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to build and enhance React-based web applications across three active products: SMRTR, Ryan, and Conduit. This engagement is structured around defined tasks and deliverables. Work is scoped through a Statement of Work that specifies the deliverable, specification, acceptance criteria, fee, and due date. Payment is released per accepted milestone. You set your own schedule and work location, subject to deliverable deadlines and the coordination availability noted below, and provide your own equipment and development environment. RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React - Build reusable components and front-end libraries - Translate UI/UX designs and written specifications into functional applications - Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services - Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and maintainability - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues within defined scope - Deliver work that meets the acceptance criteria defined in the Statement of Work REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of professional experience developing React applications - Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript - Experience with React Hooks, Context API, and modern React patterns - Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility - Experience consuming REST APIs - Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows - Ability to work from a written specification with limited day-to-day direction - Fluent written and verbal English communication PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Next.js - Redux, Zustand, or other state management libraries - Material UI, Tailwind CSS, ShadCN, or similar component libraries - Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar issue-tracking tools - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines - Automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Vitest - Exposure to AI or Large Language Model integrations ENGAGEMENT DETAILS Structure: Independent contractor engagement, task/deliverable-based via Statement of Work. Fixed-price with milestone releases. Compensation: Fixed fee per assignment, calculated at $30/hour against the estimated effort. The first assignment is estimated at 70-80 hours. Term: One assignment to begin, with the possibility of additional assignments based on fit and ongoing need. Location: Fully remote. Fluent English required. Coordination availability: Reachable for questions, review, and collaboration between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Work hours outside that window are at your discretion. Agreements: A Non-Disclosure Agreement and a Statement of Work must be signed before work begins.
