Description

I run an automation company for independent insurance agencies. This isn't an idea. The first client is live and paying, and the core product works today: a tool that reads insurance dec pages (including messy scans) with Claude, then fills complete, carrier-ready ACORD application packages. Ten forms wired. It has a review screen a non-technical insurance CSR can use, and a self-check step where the tool renders its own output and verifies every value landed in the right box before a human ever sees it. Stack: Python, FastAPI, Claude API (vision + structured extraction), pypdf and PyMuPDF for PDF form work. Nothing exotic. The hard problems are in the details: case-sensitive AcroForm fields, checkbox appearance states, carriers that all phrase the same coverage differently. I'm the founder and I sell. I need an engineer who owns delivery so I can stay on sales calls. WHAT THE WORK IS Near term, project-based: - Client installs off a written runbook. Wiring a new ACORD form takes about 1-2 hours once you know the pattern, and the pattern is documented with reports from every form we've done so far. - Connecting agency inboxes (Microsoft 365, Gmail) and standing up the human-approval queue. - Testing against real client documents and writing up what you find, honestly, including what doesn't work. Mid term, if it clicks: - Build v2 with me: intake classification and a work queue. Requests hit an agency's inbox, get classified, drafted paperwork comes out, humans approve. - Occ
