Summary We are looking for an experienced developer to build an AI-powered voice receptionist that handles inbound phone calls only using VAPI, with supporting automation via n8n. The system should answer incoming calls, understand user intent, respond naturally using AI, and route or log interactions efficiently. Project Scope: Build an AI voice receptionist for inbound calls using VAPI Handle real-time conversations with natural, human-like responses Identify caller intent (e.g., inquiries, support, bookings) Route calls or trigger actions based on intent Log call data and conversation summaries Enable escalation/transfer to a human agent when required Use n8n for backend automation and workflows Key Features Required: AI voice handling for incoming calls Intent recognition and smart call routing Call logging and data storage Workflow automation using n8n API integrations (VAPI, CRM, or other systems) Reliable and low-latency performance Technical Requirements: Strong experience with VAPI or similar voice AI platforms Experience with n8n automation workflows Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI or similar) Experience with APIs, webhooks, and backend integrations Knowledge of telephony systems (Twilio or similar is a plus) Deliverables: Fully functional inbound AI receptionist system Configured and documented n8n workflows Deployment setup (cloud/server) Basic documentation for usage and maintenance Project Type: Fixed Price / Hourly (to be discussed) Experience Level: Intermediate to Expert Please include: Relevant past projects (especially voice AI or automation) Tools/technologies you plan to use Estimated timeline and approach
