Summary Job Overview We're building an AI-powered maintenance assistant called "Jimmy the Handyman" for a growing vacation rental/property management company. This isn't just another chatbot. We're creating an intelligent maintenance operations platform that can diagnose maintenance issues, recommend repairs, assign the correct technician, maintain equipment histories, and streamline maintenance operations across hundreds of properties. We're looking for someone who enjoys designing AI workflows, automation, and structured systems—not just writing prompts. What You'll Build You'll help develop features such as: AI-powered maintenance diagnostics Image-based issue analysis Equipment and appliance knowledge database Technician assignment logic Priority classification system Maintenance history ("Maintenance Passport") Parts and repair recommendations Integration with OpenAI APIs Automation workflows (Power Automate, Make.com, n8n, or similar) Structured data storage and retrieval Future predictive maintenance capabilities Responsibilities Design AI workflows using OpenAI APIs or similar Build prompt engineering logic for maintenance diagnosis Develop structured maintenance databases Create automation workflows between various systems Design scalable architecture for future features Build AI decision trees and business rules Optimize AI accuracy and performance Document workflows and system architecture Collaborate on product roadmap and feature planning Required Skills Strong experience with OpenAI APIs or similar Prompt Engineering AI Workflow Design REST APIs JSON Database design Automation platforms (Power Automate, Make.com, Zapier, n8n, etc.) Experience building AI assistants or AI agents Strong problem-solving skills We're looking for someone who: Thinks like a systems architect Can turn business processes into AI workflows Asks thoughtful questions before building Writes clean, maintainable solutions Enjoys solving operational problems with AI The project currently includes: Working AI chat prototype Maintenance diagnosis workflow Property notes system The following features are currently in the design phase: Technician ranking system Intelligent assignment engine Maintenance Passport Priority automation Historical maintenance database Predictive maintenance To Apply Please include: A brief introduction and plan proposal
