Description
Summary We are looking for an experienced Google Apps Script developer to help build a simple internal business workflow system using Google Sheets as the backend database. The system will be used by a small team. One user will mainly enter data from mobile and the admin/owner will review dashboards, reports and generated records. The goal is to keep the system simple, fast and easy to maintain without building a heavy custom application. Expected scope: Mobile friendly web app The data entry user should be able to open a simple mobile friendly web app link and enter daily records easily from a phone. Google Sheets backend All submitted data should be stored properly in Google Sheets with clean structure, unique IDs, timestamps and proper validation. Master data management The system should include basic master tables such as products, parties/customers/vendors, expense categories and other required dropdown data. Daily transaction entry The user should be able to enter sale type records and expense type records from mobile. PDF generation The system should generate a PDF invoice or bill from the submitted transaction data using a predefined format. WhatsApp sharing option We need a practical way to send or share the generated PDF invoice through WhatsApp. Please mention whether you recommend a simple WhatsApp share button or full WhatsApp API integration. Daily email report A daily summary report should be sent to the admin/owner by email. Dashboard and reports A basic dashboard and a few useful reports should be created from the stored data. Reports should be simple and practical, not overcomplicated. User access There should be a basic login or user access flow for data entry user and admin user. Reliability The solution should handle common issues such as duplicate submissions, duplicate invoice numbers, failed PDF generation, failed WhatsApp sending and accidental edits. Important requirements: The system should be simple and easy to maintain. The user interface should work well on mobile. Google Sheets can be used as the backend database. The solution should be built in a way that can be enhanced later. The source code should be provided. The work should preferably be done in the client’s Google account or in a structure that can be handed over properly. We are looking for someone long term because we may need more workflow systems, enhancements, reporting, WhatsApp/email integration and support later.
