Summary Senior Shopify Marketplace Solutions Architect (Impact.com • Garnet • Stripe Connect) Project Overview We own HOODIES.com, a premium domain with a vision to become the world’s largest online destination for hoodies. This is not a standard Shopify store. We are building a next-generation marketplace that combines: * First-party products sold by HOODIES.com * Third-party marketplace vendors using Garnet Marketplace * Affiliate products from Impact.com merchant partners * A premium shopping experience with intelligent product discovery and scalable infrastructure We are seeking a Senior Shopify Marketplace Solutions Architect who can design, build, and deploy the complete platform. Primary Responsibilities Shopify Platform * Design and build a scalable Shopify architecture * Configure Shopify Plus–ready infrastructure * Build custom apps where necessary * Optimize for speed, SEO, and long-term scalability Garnet Marketplace * Install and configure Garnet Marketplace * Vendor onboarding and approval workflow * Vendor dashboards * Commission management * Product moderation * Vendor analytics * Multi-vendor order management Stripe Connect Implement Stripe Connect Express or Custom accounts, including: * Vendor onboarding * Automated payout management * Commission splitting * Refund handling * Tax and payment flow configuration * Secure payment processing Impact.com Integration Develop a custom integration that: * Connects to the Impact.com API * Imports affiliate product catalogs * Synchronizes pricing and availability * Imports images and product data * Automatically removes discontinued products * Preserves affiliate attribution in compliance with Impact.com policies Unified Marketplace Experience Build a seamless customer experience that combines: * HOODIES.com inventory * Marketplace vendor inventory * Affiliate product catalog The customer experience should feel like a single marketplace even where affiliate program rules require purchases to be completed on a partner’s website. Product Discovery Develop advanced browsing tools including: * Brand pages * Category pages * Collection automation * Smart filters * Predictive search * Personalized recommendations Automation Create automated workflows for: * Product imports * Inventory synchronization * Pricing updates * Vendor approvals * Affiliate catalog updates * Marketplace reporting Technical Requirements Strong experience with: * Shopify GraphQL API * Shopify Admin API * Shopify Functions * Shopify Flow * Shopify Metaobjects and Metafields * Node.js and/or Python * AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure * REST and GraphQL APIs * Webhooks * PostgreSQL or MySQL * GitHub and CI/CD Preferred Experience Please provide examples of work involving one or more of the following: * Shopify marketplaces * Garnet Marketplace * Stripe Connect * Impact.com integrations * Mirakl, Webkul, or similar marketplace platforms * Affiliate commerce * Enterprise Shopify stores * Large product catalogs (50,000+ products) Deliverables * Fully deployed production marketplace * Custom Shopify application(s) * Garnet Marketplace configuration * Stripe Connect integration * Impact.com integration * Automated synchronization system * Technical documentation * Deployment guide * Ongoing maintenance proposal (optional) Project Goal Our objective is to build the premier hoodie marketplace on the internet, combining direct retail, multi-vendor commerce, and affiliate partnerships into one scalable platform capable of supporting significant long-term growth.
