Description
Summary Description: We are an Australian-based compliance technology company based in Sydney, and we prefer to work with local talent for this project. While we are open to strong candidates elsewhere, Sydney-based developers are preferred for ease of communication and collaboration. About Us: We help Australian businesses meet their Tranche 2 AML/CTF obligations under the new AUSTRAC legislation effective 1 July 2026. We serve accountants, lawyers, jewellers, real estate agents, and trust and company service providers across Australia, providing expert-built compliance program kits, guided implementation, and KYC technology. We are a growing compliance technology business with a SaaS platform currently in development. What We Need Built: We are looking for an experienced AI developer to build an AI-powered knowledge assistant for the logged-in area of our client platform. Once a client is onboarded and has access to their compliance program, they frequently have questions about their obligations, their documentation, their SOPs, and AUSTRAC requirements. Currently these questions come to us manually via phone or email. We want a knowledge assistant available inside the logged-in platform that clients can use at any time to get accurate, instant answers based on their specific compliance program, AUSTRAC guidance, and our documentation library. The assistant should be trained on our compliance program content, all relevant AUSTRAC guidance and legislation, our 17 standard operating procedures, and industry-specific compliance requirements across our five client segments. It should give accurate, contextually relevant answers rather than generic responses, and should be able to distinguish between the different obligations that apply to accountants versus lawyers versus jewellers versus real estate agents versus trust and company service providers. What We Are Looking For: - Proven experience building RAG-based AI knowledge systems and conversational AI assistants - Experience integrating AI assistants into existing web applications or client portals - Strong understanding of how to structure and chunk large document sets for accurate retrieval - Ability to work with a non-technical founder and communicate clearly throughout - Local Sydney candidates preferred, though strong candidates elsewhere will be considered Budget and Timeline: Fixed price budget of $1,500. We expect this to be completed within 7-10 days of project start. Please do not apply if this timeline or budget does not work for you. To Apply: Please include examples of similar AI knowledge assistant projects you have built, your recommended tech stack and approach to RAG implementation, and a brief outline of how you would structure the knowledge base for this specific use case.
