Description
Summary I run Montaj, a UK-based AI and automation agency. We take service businesses held together by spreadsheets and manual work and build them into live systems: connected CRMs, automations, LLM tools, and custom portals they own and run themselves. Right now I am the only person who builds. Selling and delivering fight for the same hours, so I can only run one or two client sprints at a time. This hire fixes that. You own the build and the delivery; I move to sales, project management and marketing. I want someone who out-builds me on the technical work so I can step off delivery entirely. What you'll build One client engagement at a time, foundation-first (data first, then intake, routing, notifications, automations, agents, and dashboards last). Connected a recruitment CRM and tracking system by API, then built a daily shift-confirmation flow across SMS, WhatsApp and email, plus a reactivation engine for around 40,000 dormant candidates. A custom web app (Next.js on Supabase) that pulls in job applications, scores them against a per-role rubric with an LLM returning structured, validated output, and hands the client a clean, priced shortlist. A lead-generation system that scrapes target companies and decision-makers, enriches and verifies them, then feeds a multi-channel outbound sequence with replies routed to a human. A single-source-of-truth dashboard for a booking business: CRM, forms, accounting and email connected, auto-invoicing, rostering against a skills matrix, and a chat-to-your-data layer over an MCP bridge so the team can query their own CRM in plain English. You will join some UK-hours client calls and turn what is discussed into built work, and run the build side of our first-14-days cadence: recaps, short progress videos, testing on real data, and written sign-off. I keep the client relationship; you own what gets built. The stack (must-haves) n8n, or a strong equivalent, for multi-step workflows built to run live, not demos. API, webhook, auth and REST integration onto existing CRMs, plus MCP servers or bridges so tools with no native AI hook can be queried and driven by an LLM. LLM APIs in production (Claude/Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter) with prompt engineering for reliable, structured output. Next.js and React with TypeScript on Supabase or Postgres, for client portals and dashboards. JavaScript, Git, and solid full-stack fluency. Nice to have, not required: GoHighLevel, Instantly, Meta or Google Ads, Apify and scraping, Airtable, Vercel, Tailwind, shadcn/ui. Who this is for The difference between the person I hire and everyone else is not the tool list; it is how they think: You look past the obvious and solve for the client on both the user journey and the cost, rather than shipping the first thing that runs. You go beyond the brief without being asked. You use AI as a tool, not a substitute for your own judgement. I do not want generic, everyone-else-is-doing-this output. You take a vague brief to a working, handed-over system on your own. You flag a slipping deadline early with a reason and a fix. A hidden delay is the one thing I cannot work with. You are easy to work with and can explain your thinking plainly, in writing and on a call. Logistics Full-time and long-term. I want someone to grow with the business, not a one-off contractor. There is a clear path to account or delivery lead as we grow. Remote, offshore is welcome, no region ruled out, as long as you have at least four hours of overlap with UK working hours (roughly 09:00 to 17:00 GMT/BST). Strong written and spoken English, because you will be on client calls. What I am not looking for Bare-minimum output, generic AI work with nothing original in it, portfolios that are claims or screenshots rather than live systems, and anyone who goes quiet when a deadline is at risk. If that is the fit, we will both know quickly. How to apply I read every reply properly, so please skip the templated proposal. To show me you read this: Start your message with the word FOUNDATION. Share two systems you have built and can talk me through, with live links, not screenshots. Answer the four questions below in a few lines each. Short and specific beats long and generic.
