Description
We’re looking for an accounting automation specialist to help validate and complete the payroll workflow for an existing restaurant back-office platform. The platform already prepares payroll packages, normalizes Shift4/SkyTab data, calculates bartender tip pools, handles contractor settlements, maintains audit trails, and integrates with hospitality systems. Your role will be to validate the financial logic, reconcile historical payroll data, and help prepare the workflow for production use. Responsibilities * Reconcile historical payroll periods against bookkeeper worksheets. * Verify employee hours, tips, and sales imported from Shift4/SkyTab. * Map Shift4 employees to 7shifts payroll employees. * Validate bartender daily tip pool calculations. * Verify contractor settlements (85% of eligible net food sales, less allocated credit card processing fees). * Review payroll packages before submission for accuracy. * Help complete and validate integrations with Shift4/SkyTab, 7shifts, QuickBooks, and banking data. * Identify reconciliation issues, edge cases, and opportunities to improve automation. * Collaborate with our bookkeeper to ensure calculations are accurate and ready for production. Qualifications * Strong bookkeeping, accounting, or controller experience. * Experience with restaurant payroll, POS systems, or hospitality accounting. * Experience with QuickBooks, Shift4/SkyTab, 7shifts, Toast, or similar platforms is highly preferred. * Comfortable working with API dat
