Description
Summary A live AI platform with paying customers needs one senior engineer to own the next phase of the build. Not a prototype, not a maintenance seat, not an agency backlog. Real product, real revenue, real ownership. The product Konexus finds a small business that needs a website, builds them a complete preview site with AI before anyone has spoken to them, and closes the sale on a live call with checkout in a single flow. Prospect to payment, automated end to end. It runs every day. It makes money. That's module one of four. The vision Konexus is being built into a fully automated AI business platform for SMEs: get found, win customers, stay visible, never miss a call. A five-person plumbing firm gets the always-on acquisition and service machinery that only companies with whole teams can normally afford. That's the gap Konexus closes, and it's why this deserves to be built properly, not just quickly. Modules two through four are yours to ship. The role You build it, you test it, you ship it, and it stays shipped. No QA department behind you, no product manager relitigating your decisions, no layers. You report to the CTO on technical delivery and deal directly with the CEO on scope. You'd have real input into the architecture, not just a backlog to burn down. This is genuine AI engineering, not API wrapping. Generation, research, and outbound content are all model-driven, so model selection, inference cost management, and evaluating non-deterministic output are the day job. If you find those problems interesting, there's a lot of them here. You Have run production systems, not just built them — and have the scars to prove it Real LLM engineering depth: model selection, evals, cost-per-operation, prompt regression Comfortable across a modern web stack, payments (Stripe), and telephony Estimate honestly, flag slippage early, never go quiet The company OPM Technology Ltd, UK registered operating two live product lines. Look us up — we'd expect you to. Rate Open. Tell us what you charge and why you're worth it. For the right person we're also open to revenue participation on modules you bring to market. How to apply — read this part Answer these three questions in your proposal. They matter more than your portfolio: Inference is a direct cost of goods sold on this product. How would you approach model selection and cost management at scale? Describe a production system you owned end to end. What did testing and monitoring actually look like — and what broke anyway? What's one thing in this post you'd push back on or do differently? Proposals that skip these will not be read. We're hiring judgement, and this is the first test of it.
