Description
Hi and good day, I'm looking for someone to join my current development project and help move things faster. My current developer had made the below list for my "Dashboard" project which is in addition to a QB project I'm working on as well and think you have the skills to join this venture Technical skills based on our project: - Python + Flask — server-rendered Jinja apps, blueprints, no SPA framework. Solid vanilla JS for the frontend (fetch polling, Chart.js), not React. - Concurrency and background jobs — threads, thread pools, locking, and knowing why in-process jobs with file-based state break at scale. - LLM engineering, not LLM calling — prompt design plus the hard part: confidence thresholds, grounding output against a second source, tiered model escalation, cost control. - Document/data extraction — OCR (tesseract, pdfplumber, Document AI), PDF handling, and reconciling messy real-world financial data. - Google Cloud + APIs — Drive API, OAuth, a VM, Docker/docker-compose deploys. - Testing discipline — pytest, willingness to test the messy parts (extractors, matchers, routes), not just happy paths. - Debugging production without a safety net — logs, state files, no staging environment, jobs that die on restart. - Judgment about accuracy vs. cost vs. usability — deciding what to auto-process, what to flag for a human, and what a wrong answer costs the bookkeeper. - Client-facing discipline — working from cheap mockups and specs before building, handling changing req
