AI & Automation Engineer (Contract, Project-Based) We're an AI implementation consultancy that deploys custom AI agents and automation systems for B2B service businesses. We're looking for a contractor to build alongside us on live client projects. What you'll do Build and ship AI agents, automations, and multi-step workflows for real clients Integrate third-party APIs (CRMs, accounting platforms, messaging, job management tools) Write and maintain Python services, deploy them, and keep them running reliably Work from scoped briefs and deliver production-ready systems, not prototypes What we're looking for Fluent in AI-native development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, using them as a primary way of building rather than an occasional assist Strong Python (FastAPI or similar); other relevant languages welcome Comfortable with LLM APIs, prompt design, tool use, and agent orchestration frameworks Experience with databases (Postgres/Supabase) and deployment platforms (Railway, Vercel, VPS) API integration experience: REST, OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, pagination Able to work independently, ask sharp questions early, and communicate clearly in writing Nice to have Agent frameworks (LangGraph or equivalent) Scraping and browser automation Voice, vision, or document-processing pipelines Experience shipping client-facing work in an agency or consultancy setting Engagement This is a contractor role.
