Description

Summary I'm looking for a senior engineer to help evaluate and build a proof of concept for a browser-based application involving real-time video processing. Due to the nature of the project, full product details will be shared after an NDA. This project combines several advanced browser technologies and I'm looking for someone who has experience working at this level. Experience with some or all of the following: - Chrome Extensions (Manifest V3) - WebRTC - MediaStreams / MediaStreamTrack - Webcam and microphone APIs - Canvas video rendering - Computer Vision - Real-time video processing - Browser performance optimization - TensorFlow.js, MediaPipe, ONNX Runtime, WebGPU or similar - JavaScript / TypeScript - React (preferred) The initial engagement is a paid proof of concept focused on determining technical feasibility. Areas to evaluate include: - Real-time webcam processing - AI/computer vision integration - Browser-based video rendering - MediaStream manipulation - Chrome Extension architecture - Performance and latency optimization - Local vs. cloud inference - Overall technical feasibility The outcome of this phase will determine whether we move forward with a full MVP. Ideal Candidate - Senior-level engineer - Strong experience with WebRTC and browser media pipelines - Experience building Chrome Extensions - Comfortable working with experimental technologies - Able to recommend architecture rather than simply execute requirements - Excellent communicator
