Summary Job Type 📩 How to Apply Send your CV **Contract (Project-Based) – Full Time **Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join our team in delivering a government middleware integration platform. The project involves designing and implementing a secure Middleware System that integrates multiple internal systems with external government services through RESTful APIs while ensuring high security, scalability, and performance. The successful candidate will work closely with solution architects, integration engineers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver a production-ready integration platform. **Key Responsibilities Develop a scalable middleware platform using PHP and Laravel. Design and implement secure RESTful APIs. Build integrations between multiple internal systems and external government services. Develop ETL processes for extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data. Implement scheduled and real-time synchronization services. Design reusable service layers and modular architecture. Optimize database queries and application performance. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, Token-based Authentication). Implement logging, monitoring, and audit trails. Develop queue-based background processing. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. Support deployment, testing, and production rollout. Prepare technical documentation and assist in knowledge transfer. **Required Technical Skills Backend PHP 8.2+ Laravel 12 / 13 / 14 REST API Development JSON XML Composer Database MySQL 8+ Database Design Query Optimization Stored Procedures (preferred) Integration API Integration ETL Processes Scheduled Jobs (Cron) Queue Workers Webhooks Security OAuth2 JWT Authentication Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) HTTPS / TLS Secure Coding Best Practices Infrastructure Ubuntu Linux Apache / Nginx Git Docker (Preferred) Additional Skills SOLID Principles Design Patterns MVC Architecture Unit Testing Integration Testing Performance Optimization **Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional PHP development experience. 3+ years of Laravel experience. Experience delivering enterprise-scale web applications. Experience integrating third-party APIs. Experience working with government or enterprise projects is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of relational databases. Experience with Git workflows. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Qualifications Experience building middleware platforms. Experience with queue systems. Experience with ETL pipelines. Experience working in on-premises environments. Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of API Gateway concepts.
