Summary ABOUT THE ROLE Ironbark Timber, a Dyna Group Australia company, is a timber and building supplies business on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. We are deep into using Claude (Anthropic's AI) across sales, operations and IT - custom estimating tools, sales reporting, an internal intranet, and now direct integrations into NetSuite and Zendesk. We are looking for a genuine AI / Claude power-user and full-stack developer to become our ONGOING TECHNICAL PARTNER - not a one-off project, but someone who understands both the Claude / Anthropic ecosystem (API, MCP, Claude in Chrome / Excel, Projects) and traditional web / app development, and can turn our ideas into working, reliable systems. This will start with defined projects and, for the right person, grow into a standing arrangement - effectively our outsourced IT / tech lead. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY BE DOING - Connecting Claude to NetSuite - building and maintaining MCP based or API based integrations so Claude can read and write CRM and ERP data such as customers, sales orders and saved searches, reliably and securely - Wiring our custom estimating tools into our public website - we have already built React based timber, deck and aluminium estimators with BOM generation, SKU logic and SVG drawing output - we need these embedded, hosted and connected properly, including lead capture and quote handoff into CRM - Extending AI assisted workflows - sales reporting tools, a voice to CRM field logging app, lead qualification pipelines, and an internal SharePoint intranet all currently exist in various states of built but needing a proper home - you will help productionise, host and maintain them - General integration work - Zendesk, SharePoint and other business systems talking to each other and to Claude / AI tools where it creates real efficiency, not novelty - Being our go to technical advisor - helping us make sensible build versus buy calls, flagging security and reliability issues, and translating our non technical ideas into feasible technical plans WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING - Strong hands on experience with Claude specifically - the Claude API, MCP Model Context Protocol server setup and connectors, Claude Projects and Artifacts, and ideally Claude in Chrome or Excel or similar agentic tooling - this is not a I have used ChatGPT role, we need someone who genuinely understands how Claude's tool use and MCP ecosystem works - NetSuite integration experience - REST or SuiteTalk APIs, SuiteScript familiarity, or proven experience connecting NetSuite to external systems - Full stack web development - React, our tools are already built in React, plus modern hosting and deployment, and comfort taking a working prototype to a stable, secure, production deployment - API integration generalist skills - comfortable connecting disparate systems such as CRM, helpdesk, intranet and custom apps via APIs and webhooks - Clear communicator - able to explain technical trade offs to a non technical business owner and work independently once given a project's intent NICE TO HAVE - Experience in trade or building supplies, construction tech, or similarly operational non SaaS industries - Experience with Zendesk and SharePoint Online - Prior experience turning ad hoc internal tools into properly hosted, maintained products HOW WE WILL WORK TOGETHER Starts as a paid trial project so we can both assess fit. If it is a good match, this becomes an ongoing retainer or part time arrangement - you would effectively be our external IT and tech partner, brought in on new ideas as they come up rather than managed task by task. We move fast and iterate - expect direct access to the business owner, real business context, and genuine autonomy once trust is established. FIRST PROJECT - TO KICK THINGS OFF Connect our existing React based deck, fencing and aluminium estimating tools to our live website with proper lead capture into NetSuite, and set up a working MCP connection between Claude and NetSuite for day to day CRM and ERP queries. We will walk through exactly what exists and what done looks like once we are talking.
