Description

Summary I'm looking for a Python developer to build a simple desktop application that helps primary school teachers turn lesson notes or short stories into multiple-choice quizzes. The teacher uploads a PDF or pastes some text, hits a single button, and the app generates a set of questions with correct answers and a few wrong options to choose from. No chat interface, no back-and-forth – just a clean input-to-output tool that runs locally on their computer. Since this is for young children, the language in the generated questions needs to be simple and age-appropriate, so I'd like a difficulty toggle (easy/harder) to give teachers some flexibility across year groups. We'll be using Anthropic's Sonnet model via their API for the text generation – I'll provide my own API key. The output should show up as interactive cards where you click to reveal the answer, plus a CSV download option so teachers can print them out or import them into other tools. I'm open to the framework – whether you prefer PyQt app as an executable – as long as it feels like a proper desktop application that teachers can easily install and run without touching the command line. You'll deliver working Python code, a requirements file, and clear instructions for packaging or running it. Please let me know your timeline and any similar desktop projects you've built before.
