Summary Footwear brand onboarding to Nordstrom Marketplace, which runs on Mirakl. Nordstrom requires orders and inventory both be automated; only item/catalog data may be manual. We are building a direct API integration, not using a connector. Tightly scoped build. Not discovery work, not a platform. A small, reliable connector that does four things correctly and does not break on weekends. Catalog: ~30 styles, multiple sizes/colorways. Launch-stage volume. Stack: Shopify is the single source of truth. No ERP, no WMS, no OMS. Fulfillment in-house on our own carrier accounts. IN SCOPE Auth & config against our Nordstrom Mirakl instance. API key auth, HTTPS, HTTP 429 / Retry-After backoff. Offer sync (Shopify → Mirakl). Price and available quantity per offer SKU. Shopify is the single inventory master. One-directional push only — bidirectional is rejected, two masters causes overselling. Absolute quantities, not deltas. Mirakl auto-decrements its own offer stock on order; the push must correct to the true Shopify value without double-counting. SKU mapping: Shopify variant → Mirakl offer SKU. Order intake. List orders awaiting acceptance (OR11), accept/refuse lines (OR21). Orders must land in Shopify so we fulfill in our normal workflow. Shipment / ASN. Transmit tracking on ship (OR23, OR24) with carrier_code, carrier_standard_code (SCAC), carrier_name, tracking_number, tracking_url. Same-day transmission is a hard Nordstrom SLA — the least forgiving part of the build. Scheduler, error handling, alerting. Daily sync obligation includes weekends. A silent Saturday failure is a contract breach for us. Failures must alert a human, not just log. Runbook + recorded handoff. Weighted in selection. Every failure mode and its fix; how to recover a missed sync; how to transmit an ASN manually if the connector is down.
