Summary I am looking for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to help me resolve a specific database administration task. This is a quick, one-time contract for someone who knows their way around database configuration and maintenance. Our Environment: Database Engine: MS SQL Server Hosting Platform: AWS The Problem / Task: I am getting a "Connection Timeout" error when trying to connect to my database remotely, and I need help configuring the firewalls/permissions. I need a simple script written to back up my database daily and save it to an S3 bucket. Set up an automated daily backup routine and verify the restore process works. Troubleshoot a remote connection/firewall issue so our external app can safely connect. Configure database user roles, schemas, and restrict read/write permissions for security. Identify why the database storage is full and safely shrink log files/clear temp space. Requirements: Strong background in Database Administration (DBA) for Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022. Performance tuning and production troubleshooting. PowerShell, T-SQL, and dbatools. Comfort with command-line tools, remote connection protocols (SSH, VPN), or cloud consoles. Ability to complete this task within the next 24 to 48 hours. Budget & Scope: Budget: $30 (per hour) Project Scope: One-time task (should take 1–2 hours). Great performance can lead to future ad-hoc DBA support contracts.
