Description

We are inviting experienced freelance knowledge workers to take part in a collaborative online research workshop conducted by researchers at University College London (UCL). We are looking for people who have been working regularly through Upwork for at least one year and who use generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot or Gemini, as part of their work. We also require participants to have experience with collaborative projects (working on a project with a team of freelancers). During the workshop, you will work with a small group of other freelancers to: * discuss your experiences of using AI in professional work; * review examples of possible future AI collaboration tools; * share your views on what would make these tools useful, trustworthy or frustrating; * take part in collaborative design activities to help shape how future AI systems should support freelancers and teams. The workshop will take place online within the next 2–3 weeks and will last approximately 120 minutes. Your experience and ideas will directly inform the design of future AI tools for knowledge work. To take part, you must: * be aged 18 or over; * have worked regularly as a freelancer on Upwork for at least one year; * currently use generative AI as part of your work; * have experience working with a team of freelancers; * be able to take part in an online group discussion in English during one of the available sessions. Please do not share any confidential client, project or compan
