Description
Summary We are looking for a QA freelancer to functionally test several internal Chrome extensions used by our operations and finance teams. These extensions are side-panel / browser tools for day-to-day work (for example: looking up advertiser accounts and engagement data, Xero contact lookup + Gmail enrichment, and HR/employee onboarding flows). They talk to a backend behind the scenes — you do not need Supabase, backend, or DevOps experience. Your job is to use the extensions like a real user and verify that the product behaves correctly. What you will do: -Install unpacked Chrome extensions (we provide builds + short setup notes) -Walk through main user flows: login/auth where applicable, search/lookup, forms, lists, side panel UI, edge cases -Compare what the UI shows against expected business behavior (we will brief you / provide sample accounts) -File clear bug reports: steps to reproduce, expected vs actual, screenshots/recordings, browser/version -Retest fixed builds and confirm regressions are gone -Suggest UX/reliability improvements based on what you find What we need from you: -Experience testing web apps and/or Chrome extensions (Manifest V3) -Strong attention to detail; comfortable writing structured bug tickets -Ability to work independently with light guidance -Chrome on desktop; English enough to write clear reports Nice to have (not required) -Experience with side-panel extensions, OAuth/login flows, or Gmail/Xero-related UIs -Basic familiarity with Chrome DevTools (console errors, network failures) Not required -Supabase, SQL, Edge Functions, or backend development -Writing production code
