Job Description: I am looking for an intermediate WordPress developer to finish my website, VenueAustin.com—a directory of music venues in Austin, Texas. The site is a proof-of-concept, minimum viable product (MVP) that is roughly 95% complete but has been idle to over 5 years.. The site utilizes the WPResident theme and currently has both Visual Composer and Elementor installed, along with standard HTML, CSS, PHP, and AdRotate. This will be a Fixed-Price contract divided into three milestones. I'm working within a strict budget, with a target rate equivalent to about $30/hour, and based on the milestones below: Milestone 1: Cleanup & Updates (35% of budget) $175 Perform necessary PHP environment and theme updates safely (prior updates have caused layout breaks). Audit the page builders (Visual Composer vs. Elementor), determine which is active, and clean up conflicting or unused plugins to streamline the back-end. Milestone 2: Map & Image Fixes (35% of budget) $175 Fix the drop-down Google Map so it correctly defaults and zooms into Austin, TX, displaying venue clusters cleanly instead of defaulting to a cluttered, full U.S. map. Troubleshoot and re-link missing venue images from the existing database to the front-end display. "Tighten up" the spaces between elements on the index page.
