Summary Seeking a senior Wix Velo developer with proven experience integrating REAL Algolia (Algolia.com) into Wix sites. This role requires building a custom search experience using Algolia indexes, API keys, and Velo code — not the Wix marketplace plugin. You will: Connect Wix CMS → Algolia using API keys Create and configure Algolia indexes (content, glossary, insights, categories) Build a custom search bar + results page in Velo Implement filters, facets, tags, and relevance tuning Set up query rules, pagination, and sorting Ensure fast, accurate search across scalable CMS content Work with our CMS Architect’s schema to map fields cleanly Document the integration for future scale Required Experience: Wix Velo (JavaScript) Algolia indexing + search UI REST/JSON APIs External database connections Building custom search interfaces (not plugins) Experience with scalable content structures (500–5,000+ items) Not a Fit If You: only install the Wix Algolia app have not integrated Algolia via API keys only work in basic Wix automations or CRM cleanup cannot build custom Velo search components Screening Question: Describe an Algolia integration you’ve built using Velo.
