Summary About us We are in the energy efficiency Buidling business. Our platform runs on PHP/Laravel and is deeply integrated with Zoho CRM, which sits at the heart of how our business operates. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can own backend architecture, build reliable integrations, and raise the technical bar for the whole team. What you'll do Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in PHP 8.x / Laravel Own our Zoho CRM integration: custom modules, workflows, Deluge scripts, Zoho APIs, webhooks, and data synchronization with our core platform Model and optimize data flows between Laravel applications, Zoho CRM, and third-party systems Write clean, tested, maintainable code and review the work of others Improve performance, scalability, and reliability (queues, caching, database tuning) Take technical ownership of features from requirements through to production and monitoring Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and help shape our engineering standards Work closely with product, sales, and operations to translate business processes into working software What you bring Must-haves 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong focus on PHP and Laravel Proven hands-on experience with Zoho CRM (Zoho APIs, Deluge, custom functions, workflows, blueprints) or a comparable CRM integration background Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and integration patterns Strong SQL skills (MySQL / MariaDB / PostgreSQL) and sound database design Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit / Pest), Git, and CI/CD pipelines Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and make pragmatic architectural decisions Fluent English (written and spoken) Nice-to-haves Experience with the wider Zoho ecosystem (Zoho Books, Desk, Analytics, Flow, Creator) Familiarity with Docker, AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure Frontend experience (Vue.js, Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind) Message queues (Redis, RabbitMQ), event-driven architecture German language skills
