Description
Summary We are seeking an experienced specialist to enhance our Shopify store's automation capabilities using n8n, Make, OpenAI, Claude, and LLM Workflows. The role involves integrating APIs and developing internal dashboards to streamline operations and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automation and integration, with a focus on optimizing e-commerce processes. Description We are an established Shopify e-commerce brand operating across 9+ international markets. We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Specialist to build, improve, and maintain our internal automations, AI-powered workflows, and lightweight internal tools. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in n8n, Make.com, OpenAI API, Claude API, Shopify automation, LLM workflows, e-commerce operations, API integrations, internal dashboards, workflow monitoring, and production-ready AI automation systems. Project Overview We automate repetitive operational processes such as product content generation, product description optimization, localization across multiple markets, review handling, data syncing between tools, customer support routing, and ad-ops reporting. Some automations feed internal dashboards and tools that we host ourselves. Most workflows run continuously at volume, so reliability, cost control, clean error handling, and maintainable workflow architecture are very important. What the Work Involves Build and maintain Shopify automation workflows for product content, product descriptions, titles, meta descriptions, and ad copy. Create multi-market localization and translation workflows using OpenAI, Claude, or other LLM APIs. Automate customer review handling, support ticket classification, and support routing. Sync data between Shopify, CRMs, spreadsheets, analytics tools, ad platforms, and internal systems. Build Meta Ads and Google Ads reporting workflows for internal ad-ops visibility. Develop lightweight internal dashboards or admin tools using React, Next.js, static frontends, Vercel, and GitHub deployments. Add custom JavaScript or Python logic for custom nodes, webhooks, edge cases, retries, and error handling. Help decide when a workflow should be deterministic automation and when it should use an AI agent or LLM-based reasoning. Required Skills Strong experience with n8n and/or Make.com automation workflows. Hands-on experience using OpenAI API, Claude API, or other LLM APIs inside workflow automation systems. Real e-commerce experience, ideally with Shopify, Shopify Plus, or multi-market Shopify operations. Experience with API integrations, webhooks, data syncing, and automation reliability. JavaScript and/or Python ability for custom logic, custom nodes, and edge cases. Ability to build and deploy lightweight internal tools or dashboards using React, Next.js, Vercel, GitHub, and environment variables. Strong understanding of logging, monitoring, retries, cost control, and clean error handling for production workflows. Strong Plus Experience with Shopify Plus, multi-store setups, or international e-commerce localization. Experience with Meta Ads API, Google Ads API, Google Sheets API, Airtable, Notion, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Gorgias, Zendesk, or similar tools. Familiarity with MCP tools, AI agents, RAG workflows, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, or semantic search. How We Work We will start with a small paid test task that mirrors real work from our business. If the collaboration goes well, we would like to move into an ongoing engagement. We prefer someone who can think independently, suggest better technical approaches, and build systems that are reliable in production - not just quick demos. To Apply, Please Include 1. Links to 2-3 production systems you have actually shipped, such as automations, AI workflows, internal tools, dashboards, or e-commerce systems. 2. Your preferred automation platform - n8n, Make, Zapier, or another - and why you usually choose it. 3. A short outline of how you would build a pipeline that pulls data from multiple sources, combines it, and feeds a dashboard hosted on Vercel or a similar platform. 4. Any Shopify, e-commerce, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or multi-market automation experience you have.
