Seeking someone to maintain and update our site and optimize it for SEO Strong WordPress development experience Custom theme/plugin work, not just page-builder edits Comfortable working in staging environments and pushing changes safely Experience with common WordPress stacks: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL Technical SEO implementation experience Can implement SEO recommendations from an SEO lead without needing extensive hand-holding Understands title tags, meta descriptions, canonical tags, redirects, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, schema, pagination, and internal linking Knows how development decisions affect crawlability, indexation, and rankings Core Web Vitals / page speed expertise Can diagnose and fix LCP, CLS, INP, render-blocking resources, unused CSS/JS, image optimization, lazy loading, caching, and script bloat Experience with tools like PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, GTmetrix, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools Schema markup implementation Can add, validate, and troubleshoot structured data Comfortable implementing FAQ, Article, Breadcrumb, Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, Review, and custom schema when appropriate Redirects and migration support Can manage 301 redirects properly Understands URL changes, slug cleanup, content consolidation, and avoiding redirect chains Has experience supporting site migrations, redesigns, or large-scale content updates Comfort with SEO plugins Experience with Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, or similar tools Knows when to use plugin
