Description

I own a successful WordPress website in Israel that sells aviation experience gift vouchers through a custom plugin developed by another programmer. The website is live, serves real paying customers every day, and is an important part of my business. I am looking for an experienced WordPress/PHP developer who is comfortable taking over and maintaining an existing codebase written by someone else. The first project is to review the plugin, understand how it works, identify technical issues or risks, and recommend the best approach for maintaining and improving it. The review will be performed on a staging/development copy of the website, not on the live production site. For this first project I would like you to: • Review the existing plugin code. • Explain how the plugin is structured. • Identify bugs, weaknesses, security issues, or technical debt. • Recommend improvements and priorities. • Estimate the effort required for future development and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have: • Strong experience developing custom WordPress plugins. • Excellent PHP and MySQL skills. • Experience taking over plugins written by other developers. • Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment systems. • Clear communication and fluent English.
