Summary 🚫 Agencies, software houses, and teams: Please do NOT apply. I am looking for one full-time dedicated freelancer to work directly with me on rebuilding and modernizing an existing HR SaaS application called Ecoleave. This is a long-term full-time opportunity (6–12+ months) if we work well together. You should be comfortable using GitHub Copilot/Codex/OpenAI Codex extensively to accelerate development while maintaining clean, production-quality code. Existing System Current system: PHP 7.4 MySQL jQuery Bootstrap Multiple years of development Approximately 150+ database tables Multi-company HR Management System Modules include: Leave Management Claim Management Attendance Employee Self Service (ESS) Manager Approval Dashboard Notifications Reports Admin Settings and many more Project Goal Modernize the entire application using a new UI theme (provided). Two architecture options are acceptable. Option A (Preferred) Laravel 12 PHP 8.4 MySQL Option B React PostgreSQL Laravel API (or equivalent backend) I am open to discussing the best architecture. Responsibilities You will: Analyze existing PHP code Convert legacy PHP 7.4 code into modern architecture Refactor old business logic Improve database structure where appropriate Implement new UI using provided theme Maintain compatibility with existing data Optimize performance Write clean, maintainable code Use Git effectively Work with AI tools (Codex/GitHub Copilot) to increase productivity Required Skills Must have: 5+ years Laravel PHP 8.x MySQL REST API Git JavaScript HTML/CSS Bootstrap or Tailwind Nice to have: React PostgreSQL Redis Docker Multi-tenant SaaS Queue Jobs Horizon Livewire Inertia Unit Testing AI Development Experience (Important) Please only apply if you already use AI daily.
