Summary Canvas LMS Specialist & API Integration Expert (Teacher Professional Learning Platform) Project Overview We are You Can Do It! Education Australia (YCDI!), a leading Australian education organisation delivering evidence-based wellbeing, social-emotional learning, and professional learning programs for schools. We are looking for an experienced Canvas LMS Specialist with API integration expertise to help us design and build a premium teacher professional learning hub within our existing Canvas LMS environment. Our Canvas account has been live since January 2026, and we are now expanding it to support a new 12-month Resilient Educator Partnership (REP) for teachers and school leaders across Australia. This is not a standard Canvas course build. We are looking for someone who understands instructional design, user experience, API integrations, automation, learning analytics, and scalable LMS architecture. Project Objectives Design and build a seamless participant experience that guides educators through a 12-month professional learning journey while providing robust progress tracking, reporting, and automation. Scope of Work 1. Partner School Sign-Up Process Design and implement a school application workflow that includes: School application form Short and long-answer questions Readiness and suitability questions Automated enrolment workflow Notifications and approval process 2. Digital Participant Handbook Create a digital onboarding experience that includes: Welcome information Program overview 12-month timeline Expectations and responsibilities Coaching requirements Attendance expectations Progress reporting process (Our graphic designer will create the visual assets.) 3. Canvas Course Development Build a premium Canvas course called: Resilient Educator Partnership (REP) Collective Learning Hub The hub should include: Four professional learning courses Mental Health First Aid resources Resource library Calendar of live events Coaching reflection spaces Participant journals Progress tracking Assessment access Resilience assessment reports Clear "What's Next" guidance Automated notifications throughout the year We welcome recommendations for additional Canvas features that would enhance the participant experience. 4. Individual Participant Dashboards Each participant should have access to a personalised dashboard showing: Overall progress Course completion Coaching attendance Reflection activities Upcoming events Certificates achieved Outstanding actions Personal learning journey 5. Partnership Dashboard Create shared reporting dashboards allowing our partner organisation to monitor: Participant progress Completion rates Engagement Attendance Program metrics Cohort reporting Integrations Required The ideal solution should integrate with: Canvas LMS Our CRM (details provided to shortlisted applicants) Zoom Progress tracking and reporting tools Canvas APIs Automations where appropriate Experience with LMS integrations, APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms such as Zapier or Make would be highly regarded. We're looking for a strategic technical partner who can advise us on best practice, recommend better workflows where appropriate, and help us build an engaging, scalable platform that educators will enjoy using over a 12-month journey. You should be comfortable suggesting improvements to our ideas and identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve user experience, and maximise the capabilities of Canvas.
