Description

Background: We run a Discord community for our students. Each student has their own private 1-1 channel where they talk with their assigned coach. We already have a simple bot (built by a previous developer, running on Railway) that tracks student message activity and writes it to Airtable. We need some modifications to that existing bot - this is not a new build. You'll get access to our Railway project (where the bot is deployed and the code lives) and our Airtable base. What we need: 1. Track last message time per 1-1 channel, split by student and coach. Currently the bot only tracks whether a student has been active anywhere in the server - a single general activity timestamp. We need it changed so it instead tracks activity within each student's own 1-1 channel specifically, and records two separate timestamps: - Last time the student sent a message in their 1-1 channel → one Airtable field - Last time the coach sent a message in that channel → a separate Airtable field The bot's own messages must not count as either. This lets us see, per channel, when a student is waiting on a coach reply. 2. Auto-add new members to the onboarding channel only. When a new person joins the server, the bot should add them to a single designated onboarding channel - not give them access to the full server. Wider access is granted later manually. 3. Channel organisation (second priority). Sort the 1-1 channels into categories (e.g. grouped by coach), and automatically move a channel into a
