Our solutions streamline key operational areas such as claims processing, underwriting, billing, and back-office operations. **Job Overview: We are seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team as early as possible. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in server migrations, thorough knowledge of SQL, and possess an ownership mindset for database operations. The new DBA should also have experience in creating and maintaining database scripts, including thorough documentation, proper code indentation, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for future use. **Roles and Responsibility: A SQL Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of SQL databases. The DBA plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of databases, optimizing performance, and meeting the needs of the organization. **Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade SQL database software and related tools. Create and manage database instances, ensuring that proper security measures are in place. Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SQL queries and database structures. Implement performance tuning techniques to enhance overall system performance. Develop and maintain robust database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime. Perform regular backups and test restore procedures to guarantee data recoverability. Implement and maintain database security protocols, including user access control, data encryption, and data masking. Monitor database access and activity logs to detect and respond to potential security breaches. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as database re-indexing, defragmentation, and statistics updates. Apply patches and upgrades to the database software to ensure security and stability. Identify and resolve database-related issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and connectivity errors. Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues. Monitor database growth patterns and plan for future storage requirements. Estimate resource needs and make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades to support database growth. Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on database performance, capacity, and security. **Qualification: Proven experience at least 7+years of experience in server migrations and management of SQL databases. Strong knowledge and experience with SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and database structure optimization. Ownership mindset for database operations, with a focus on maintaining high standards of performance and security. Experience in writing and maintaining database scripts, with a focus on documentation, code indentation, and creating SOPs for future use. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to solve complex database problems.
