Summary Overview: We are a digital agency specializing in industrial manufacturing clients. We’ve built a custom Laravel-based CMS (CoreContent) on top of Twill over the past 7 years. We are now planning a full modernization into CoreContent 2.0 and are looking for a senior-level CMS architect/consultant to guide our internal development team. This is NOT a basic dev role — we already have a full design and development team. We need someone who can: • Evaluate our current system • Recommend modern architecture decisions • Introduce advanced CMS patterns • Help us integrate AI-powered features • Improve security, scalability, and editor experience ________________________________________ 🎯 Project Goals • Modernize a Laravel + Twill CMS platform • Redesign the content editing experience (WYSIWYG / block-based) • Introduce AI-powered content and design tools • Improve security, permissions, and scalability • Create a flexible, reusable CMS platform for multiple client sites ________________________________________ 🧠 What We Need Help With 1. Architecture & CMS Strategy • Evaluate whether to: o Continue with Twill o Replace with another Laravel-based CMS (e.g. Statamic, Filament, custom headless) o Move toward a hybrid/headless architecture • Define long-term CMS structure and scalability 2. Editor & Content Experience • Replace or redesign current CKEditor/Twill hybrid editor • Recommend modern solutions: o Block-based editing o Component-driven layouts o Reusable content modules • Improve usability for non-technical clients 3. AI Feature Integration We want to embed AI directly into the CMS: • Content generation and rewriting • SEO/meta suggestions • Internal linking suggestions • Page structure recommendations • Industry-specific content assistance 4. Security & Performance • Identify and fix editor-related vulnerabilities • Improve input sanitization and validation • Strengthen authentication and permissions • Optimize performance and caching strategy 5. Platform Evolution • Multi-site / multi-client architecture • Reusable components across sites • API-first or headless capabilities (optional) • Future-proofing for 5–10 years ________________________________________ 🛠️ Required Experience • Expert-level Laravel (5+ years) • Experience building or architecting CMS platforms • Experience with Twill OR strong opinionated alternatives • Experience designing scalable admin interfaces • Strong understanding of content modeling ________________________________________ ⭐ Nice to Have • Experience with: o Statamic, Filament, Nova, or headless CMS platforms o AI integrations (OpenAI, content tooling, etc.) o Modern editors (TipTap, Slate, ProseMirror, CKEditor 5) • Experience with multi-tenant or SaaS platforms • UX thinking for non-technical CMS users Note: This project/job could lead to a full time partnership to join our team.
