Summary Overview : I am building a modular automated options trading system called ATLAS. The system will scan for options opportunities, manage risk, and execute trades via API. I am hiring separate specialist developers for each module. This post is for MODULE 1: API Connection & Data Architecture. This is the foundation layer. Every other module depends on what you build. I need clean, documented, modular Python code that future developers can build on top of without confusion. Key Deliverables: 1. TastyTrade API Connection → Authenticated connection to TastyTrade API (sandbox first, then live) → Functions to pull: account balance, positions, orders, buying power → Functions to pull: options chains, bid/ask, Greeks (delta, theta, vega, gamma), IV rank for any ticker → Order submission capability: buy/sell options, open/close spreads → Error handling and reconnection logic 2. Market Data Feed Integration → Real-time or near-real-time options data for a watchlist of tickers (starting with 10-15 symbols) → Historical IV data pull capability → VIX data feed → Clean data formatting into pandas DataFrames for downstream module use 3. Modular Architecture Requirements → All functions must be modular and independently callable → Clear docstrings on every function → Config file for API keys, watchlist, parameters (no hardcoded credentials — ever) → README explaining how to run and how each function works → All code delivered via private GitHub repo 4. Testing & Handoff → Working demo: pull live options chain for SPY, display Greeks and IV rank → Working demo: place a paper trade order and confirm receipt → Handoff call (30 min) to walk me through the code Skills Required: Python (advanced) → REST API integration → Experience with brokerage APIs (TastyTrade, IBKR, Alpaca, or similar) → Pandas, data pipeline experience → Options trading knowledge is a PLUS but not required → Clean, documented, handoff-ready code is NON-NEGOTIABLE Payment Structure (Milestone-Based): Milestone 1 — Sandbox API connected, basic account data pulling correctly: $250 Milestone 2 — Options chain + Greeks pulling for full watchlist: $250 Milestone 3 — Order submission working in sandbox, error handling complete: $200 Milestone 4 — Full handoff: clean code, README, demo call complete: $100 Total Budget: $800 USD
