Description

Summary We're a fast-growing DTC e-commerce brand looking for an AI automation specialist to help us build and optimize automated customer-support systems. We have two support VAs handling a high volume of email tickets, Facebook ad comments, and DMs, and we want to use AI + automation to make them dramatically faster and more consistent. What you'll build 1. AI-assisted workflows inside our help desk (Commslayer — experience here is a big plus) to draft, triage, tag, and route customer emails and messages. 2. Automated moderation and replies for Facebook / Meta ad comments — detecting and handling negatives, spam, and common questions based on our SOP rules. 3. Automations across our ad platforms (Meta primarily) to catch and action comments and messages tied to live ads. 4. Gmail automations for our support inboxes — auto-drafting, labeling, routing, and canned-response logic tied to our SOPs. 5. Tools that make our two support VAs faster: suggested replies, templated responses, and accountability/reporting so nothing sits unanswered. You're a great fit if you have: - Proven experience building AI automations for customer support or e-commerce operations (please link real examples). - Hands-on experience with help desk / shared-inbox platforms — Commslayer strongly preferred, but strong Gorgias / Zendesk / Freshdesk / Help Scout experience is welcome. - Experience wiring up automations with tools like Make.com, n8n, Zapier, and/or the OpenAI/Anthropic APIs. - Comfort working with Meta (Facebook) comment/ad tooling and Gmail/Google Workspace automation. - A bias toward shipping working systems, not just decks and diagrams. Nice to have: - Direct Commslayer experience. - DTC / Shopify customer-support background. - Experience training VAs to run the systems you build. Engagement: This starts as a paid build project with a clear scope, with the option to retain you ongoing to maintain and expand systems if it goes well. Hourly, $15–60/hr depending on experience. Please tell us your rate and rough estimate of hours for the initial build. To apply, answer these (applications that skip them will be ignored): 1. Have you worked with Commslayer specifically? If not, which help desk platforms have you automated? 2. Describe one AI/automation system you built for customer support — what it did, the stack you used, and the measurable result. 3. What tools would you reach for to auto-moderate Facebook ad comments at scale, and how would you keep it from making mistakes on ambiguous cases? 4. Roughly how many hours would an initial build like this take you, and what's your hourly rate? Screening notes (internal — do NOT paste): - Our stack: Commslayer as the hub (all support email + live Facebook comments), Gmail support inboxes, Meta ads, multiple FB pages/inboxes, Shopify. Two support VAs. - Priority #1 historically: Facebook ad-comment moderation (delete negatives, reply to positives/questions) per SOP. Backlogs on some FB inboxes and email have been a recurring problem — automation should target that. - Watch for: applicants who only talk chatbots/website widgets; we want back-office/help-desk automation, not just an on-site chat bubble. - Don't share account IDs, VA names, internal Google accounts, or loss figures with candidates.
