Debug & Fix AI Translation Pipeline (Claude, Gemini & OpenAI) We run a SaaS platform that translates full-length books using Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI. Translations run as background async tasks, and users are notified when completed. Our translation pipeline is currently broken. Jobs start but never complete, fail silently, or error out, making our core product unusable. We need an experienced developer to diagnose the root cause and fix it properly. Issues to investigate: Background workers, queues, stuck or timed-out tasks OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini API integration (authentication, rate limits, token limits, response changes) Chunking and reassembly of long book content Task status updates and completion → notification flow Retry/error-handling logic masking failures Scope: Diagnose the end-to-end translation pipeline Fix the underlying issue so translations complete reliably across all providers Ensure notifications are sent only after successful completion Improve reliability and error handling where needed Requirements: Strong experience with Python and FastAPI Experience with async/background task systems (Celery, RQ, Dramatiq, etc.) Hands-on experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and/or Google Gemini APIs Ability to debug complex production systems and identify root causes rather than applying temporary fixes
